Tulisoma: South Dallas Book Fair & Arts Festival
http://www.tulisoma.com

Friday, Saturday & Sunday, August 25-27, 2006

Tulisoma, Swahili for "we read", is a community-based literary festival promoting literacy and the arts in the South Dallas/Fair Park area. Founded in 2003, by District 7 - Dallas City Councilman Leo V. Chaney, Jr., the goal of Tulisoma is to create a dynamic event tailored to engage local families, avid readers, aspiring writers and visitors to the city. This year's 4th annual Tulisoma will be held at the African American Museum and the Womens Museum at Fair Park.

Tulisoma will highlight nationally acclaimed authors and offers engaging programs for all ages. With literacy being an important initiative for Dallas, we seek to inspire our youth with a love of reading and learning.

There will be workshops, panel discussions for children, teens and adults. Please watch this site for details, as they unfold. We hope you will join us for this wonderful event.
